Project Details:

For this project, the kitchen underwent a major reconstruction.  Three rooms were combined to form a new kitchen, now three times larger than its original size.  Nearly the entire rear wall of the house was reconstructed to accomodate the updated and upgraded kitchen space, which required a rerouting of all utility lines.

This kitchen space sees a combination of old-world design with French country style, all with contemporary accents and the lastest in energy-efficient appliances.  The space is set in two distinct yet complementary tones, a stimulating red with black glaze and antique-linen white, making it feel modern but with a sense of history.

This kitchen features rare and unique Brazilian Betularie granite countertops which are both beautiful and functional.  Mounted beneath these striking countertops beside the 48" professional Wolf range and in the island are hand-hammered copper sinks.  Custom built-in shelving makes the island serve double-duty as counterspace and convenient storage for cookbooks.

One of the most striking features of this kitchen is the custom Stanici wood exhaust hood, painted in the black-glazed red and complete with eye-catching decorative corbels.  Across from this range is a Sub-Zero built-in refrigerator with glass front and an integrated pantry, making this space suited to any culinary task.
